Agroflora is a company that has been processing, treating and packaging peat, soil improvers and substrates since 2005. In January 2023, after a major investment, the company relocated to new private facilities near the port of Thessaloniki increasing its production capacity. Initially, the company counted among its customers mainly Greek companies operating as dealers in the agricultural sector, but over time it has expanded its customer base to include numerous foreign companies. Today it has customers in more than 20 countries around the world, exporting to several European, Balkan, Middle Eastern and Asian countries.

At the moment the factory operates with 4 lines, which work contemporaneously. One line offers the possibility to load whole trucks with bulk product. One other possibility is to load Big Bags of 3,3 cubic meters or 1 cubic meter. Last but not least, the factory operates two packaging machines, with two palletizers and a stretch film, which give the possibility to pack our recipes in bags of 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70 and 80 liters. The production capacity of the plant varies, depending on the size of the bag but can arrive at up to 30-32 bags/per minute.

A - QUALITY

Agroflora guarantees the quality of all the products by the automated process of production and with supplementary daily controls from our personnel. The pH level and the conductivity are checked on a daily basis, ensuring the conformity to the specifications and the highest standards. The volume is controlled according to the European standard DIN EN 12580, while the quality is guaranteed through Βenaki State Phytopathological institute and other accredited laboratories according to ELOT EN ISO 17025.

Extra attention is paid to the selection of the right packaging materials, which necessarily need to comply with international standards. The double film we choose, ensures durability while the usage of UV film protects our packaged soils from the sunlight’s effect.

Packaging

Agroflora’s packages are attractive and contain information for each product and recipe in many languages. Due to the automated production, the quantity of each bag is exactly as it is indicated on the bag. Additionally, there is the possibility of printing specific requested texts on the bags. The availability of the packaging depends on the product, but in general, our products could be packaged in 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70 and 80 liters. The finished products are stacked on pallets and stretched with a double-film to remain unaltered and protected by the sun and any external weather conditions.
